What do condos here usually cost?

Gulf-front, Gulf-view and across the road are three different prices, and the association dues and insurance differ as much as the purchase price does. Tell me whether you have to see the water from the sofa, and I'll send you what has sold in that bracket.

Do places here rent well?

Gulf Shores was more or less built for it, so the better question is which building. A unit's rental history, the association's rules and the health of its reserves tell you more than the photos. I ask for all three before you write an offer.

Which streets are closest to the beach?

Beach Boulevard runs the length of the sand, so the real question is which side of it you're on and how far from the water you're willing to walk. Nearer the state park it gets quieter. Tell me how you'd spend the week and I'll tell you which stretch fits it.
